GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Attention Seniors! Senior parking spot painting is coming up on August 16th and 17th. This is a fundraiser put on by Senior Class Student Council, and a fun way to personalize your spot and show your spirit! Please visit the bookstore to pick up your application form, it is due Monday August 11th. Teachers, we are still looking for volunteers to help supervise the event!
Picture Day is Next Week!
Student portraits will be taken in the library all next week and will abide by the following schedule:
Freshmen photos will be taken on Monday, August 11th.
Sophomore photos will be taken on Tuesday, August 12th.
Junior photos will be taken on Thursday, August 14th.
Senior photos will be taken on Friday, August 15th.
Picture Retakes will take place on October 2nd.
The bookstore will only be open for IDs at lunchtime on Friday, August 8. No payments will be accepted. Thank you.

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES
KEY CLUB: Next key club meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 20th in room L145 at 7:45 AM. Officers, please arrive at 7:30 AM! We will be discussing and working on our first project of the year. Hope to see you there!
Mu (“myoo”) Alpha Theta, the national mathematics honor society for high school and two-year college students, is back in CGUHS! Application is open until August 29 for all interested students. Ask your math teacher or see Mrs. Harrison at F106 to pick up an application form. Members and associates, we will have our first meeting on August 12, Tuesday, from 3:30-4 PM at F106. See you there!

JV Cheer Tryouts (Open to 9th, 10th and 11th grade students)

Wanna play Girls Flag Football? Official tryouts are Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12. Meet in the weight room from 3:30 to 4:30 then on the field from 6 to 8. Must have completed physical to tryout. (START DATE TODAY, END DATE 8.12.25)
Interested in Cross Country? Meet by the tennis courts at Green Tables at 3:40pm, Monday - Friday. Coach John and Coach Andrea are anxious to meet you and have you as part of our team.
Open Gym for Volleyball is Monday through Friday right after school. It starts at 3:30 and goes on until 6:00. Tryouts will be Monday, August 11th and 12th, you must have your physical done in order to tryout.
Interested in joining the Swim Team? Stop by D102 or C209 and talk to Coach Batina. Open Swim this week @Palm Park Aquatics (city pool). Official practice starts Monday August 11, 2025. Get your physicals NOW and register at RANK ONE. The van to the pool will be in the front parking lot, by the football field, and leaves at 3:25.
Fall Boys Tennis Practice will begin on Monday, August 11 at the tennis courts. To be eligible to play this year, all interested freshman and sophomore boys must complete their Rank One registration, get a physical and pay their Pay to Play fee. For more information, please see Mrs. Wagner in the Athletics Department.
BOY’S BASKETBALL (8/4-8/8): Fall workouts will continue. Gym sessions will be Monday and Wednesday from 6-8pm. Start completing your registration at RANK ONE and submit all physical forms to Mrs. Wagner in room B121.
Girl's Basketball next open gym August 11th from 6-8pm. For all returning players and anyone interested. See you all there! Stop by room E100 and talk to Coach Smith if you have any questions.
Girls Freshman/Sophomore tennis practice will be held Monday-Thursday 3:30-5:30 and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30. Any Freshman/Sophomores interested come out!
