Child Find Notice - Proportionate Share Meeting
The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) requires that the Casa Grande Union High School District provide information to the public regarding the provision of equitable special education services to parentally placed private school students with disabilities. Home-schooled children with disabilities are considered in the same category and are also eligible for services under this provision.
Parentally placed students with disabilities in private schools or home-schooled students are not entitled to a free appropriate public education (FAPE), but the district will provide services based on a proportionate share of federal funds. To plan accordingly for the 2025-2026 school year, Casa Grande Union High School District would like to meet with parents/guardians of 9-12th grade students who suspect that their child has a disability which requires an evaluation. Please join us on Wednesday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m. at Casa Grande Union High School District, 1362 N Casa Grande Avenue, Casa Grande, AZ. If you have any questions, please contact Lee Brown at 520-316-3660x1110.
